Jin Shin Jyutsu Classes

According to your level of knowledge various class formats are available:

  • You are new with no previous knowledge:

The best way to get started is to take a Jin Shin Jyutsu self-help class, which is held by a qualified self-help teacher. The self-help classes are based on Mary Burmeister’s three self-help books 1, 2 & 3.

  • You already have some experience with Jin Shin Jyutsu self-help and want to continue:

For those who want to deepen their knowledge and continue learning beyond self-help, the next step is to attend a 5-Day Basic Seminar. These classes are based on Mary Burmeister’s Text 1 and Text 2 and take place worldwide.

After taken at least one 5-Day Basic Seminar, continuing classes like Special Topic Class, Living The Art Seminar, Now Know Myself Seminar, Exploring the Art of Jin Shin Jyutsu, Mentoring Programs and 5-Day Kato Text Seminar are offered to go deeper into Jin Shin Jyutsu.

Detailed information and special access requirements are under the corresponding links for class descriptions.

  • You want to work with Jin Shin Jyutsu in a professional way and become an authorized Jin Shin Jyutsu Practitioner and/or Self-Help Teacher:

For both, the attendance of three completed 5-Day Basic Seminars is a minimum requirement. For self-help teachers, it is also recommended to attend a Living The Art Seminar, in which the three self-help books are discussed in detail. There should be a period of at least 18 months between the attendance of the first 5-Day Basic Seminar and the start of professional activity, during which practical experience with friends and family was gained. Regular attendance of classes is required.

Hands-On Practice at Class:

Regular practical applications take place in all classes. For most classes there is a daily practice in a triad with each student being on the table once per day. For self-help, students position themselves as desired, and hands-on is self-help only.

Currently there are 26 instructors authorized by Mary Burmeister Jin Shin Jyutsu Institute to present 5-Day Basic Seminars and continuing classes based on them. Only classes held by these instructors are recognized.
