Happy Birthday, Mary!

Today we celebrate the International Day of Jin Shin Jyutsu and at the same time the birthday of Mary Burmeister. Master Jiro Murai rediscovered the Art of Jin Shin Jyutsu at the beginning of the 20th century and through Mary Burmeister Jin Shin Jyutsu came to America in the middle of the last century and  since then Jin Shin Jyutsu spread around the world. We remember Jiro and Mary with gratitude and like to feel connected to all people around the world who apply the Art of Jin Shin Jyutsu today.

Current Hands-On Tip of the Week: “Safety”-Energy Lock No. 11

Today we introduce “Safety”-Energy Lock #11 (Self-Help Book 2 by Mary Burmeister, p. 32/33):

It is located at the upper edges of the shoulder blades inside.

SEL 11 came into the universe meaning getting rid of “excess baggage” and effects total balance of the body.

It helps making quick decisions and harmonizes neck and shoulder tensions and also hip and leg discomforts.

BE the Smile, BE the dropping of your shoulders – unload, receive and tune into the rhythm of the cosmos.

For harmonizing SEL 11 hold right shoulder with left hand and right buttock with right hand. For the other side of the body reverse the sequence.

Or just use “Quickie”: Hold right right index finger with left hand left index finger with right hand.

Current Hands-On Tip of the Week, today: The “Safety”Energy Lock # 10

Today we would like to introduce “Safety” Energy Lock No. 10
(Self-Help Book 2 by Mary Burmeister, p. 30/31).

“Safety” Energy Lock No. 10 came into the universe with the meaning of “outporing of limitless life-power”. It is located on the left and right back of the body between shoulder blade and spine at mid-shoulder blade level.

SEL 10 is storage of abundance, abundance everywhere. It corresponds to the 10th month (October): time of harvest and abundance.

It helps harmonizing chest congestions and breathing and is important for lung and heart function. Thereby it supports our vitality.

Quickies:

Hold upper arms with opposite thigh:

a. Left hand on right upper arm and right hand on left thigh (medial or inner side).

b. Right hand on left upper arm and left hand on right thigh (medial or inner side).

or

Current Hands-On Tip of the Week, today: Self-Help for the “Diagonal Mediator”

(Self-Help Book 1 by Mary Burmeister, p. 18, 19, 20)

Today we look at the “Diagonal Mediator” flow. If this flow is not in harmony, it can become the main cause of many malfunctions in the whole body.
By applying daily self-help we can bring this flow back into harmony.

This self-help application also harmonizes the left and right “Supervisor” energy.

The bridge to all changes and movement is in the “Diagonal Mediator” flow.

For harmonizing the energy on the left side:

1a.  place left thumb over left ring fingernail (make a circle with palm side of thumb over ring fingernail), helps cleaning the chest

1b.  place right hand over left shoulder, revitalizes the ascending energy

1c. put medial (inner) side of both, left and right knees, together, revitalizes the descending energy

Please use the opposite side for harmonizing the energy on the right side.

Have fun practicing!

Current Hands-On Tip of the Week, today: First Method of Correction (Text 1, page 55)

In August we already talked about the Fatigue Flow, today we would like to present the quickie for the First Method of Correction.

The Methods of Correction are very, very powerful flows and clean up the body.

Mary said that applying any of the fixes is sufficient to reverse a lifelong history of disharmony.

The First Method of Correction works with the Diagonal Mediator energy, which brings everything into motion and helps to harmonize emotions. It helps gridlocked projects and stagnation.

It is also very helpful with all shoulder and breathing projects.

As a self-help, we use the first step of the flow: left hand on left SEL 11 and right hand on left SEL 22.

Have fun practicing!

Current tip of the week, today: Special Body Function Energy (5) (Textbook 2, page 54)

Today we want to look at one of the five Special Body Function Energy Flows.

These Special Body Function Energy Flows help our modern, worldly lifestyle and help quickly in acute situations (just like the Fatigue Flow (shorthand current tip for the week of August 19).

This flow gives energy (tiredness during the day) to our whole being and reduces stress.

We apply it to all daily pain and projects.

In addition, it helps with all deposits in the body and helps the mobility of all our limbs.

It also helps the opposite eye.

So you see, this flow is very versatile and you absolutely want to use it …

As a self-help, we put our thumb on the little fingernail.

We hope you enjoy trying it out!

Current Hands-On Tip of the week, today: “Safety” Energy Lock No. 25 (Self-Help Book 2 by Mary Burmeister, p. 61)

SES 25 came into the universe meaning quietly regenerate.

We just sit on both of our hands (palm or back of the hand, whichever is more convenient for you), drop our shoulders and just enjoy ourselves regenerating and renewing in silence. This creates space in which new things can develop.

Holding SES # 25 is also useful before and after sport exercises.

It takes away fatigue and recharges our “run-down” energy battery.

It also harmonizes a chaotic mind and ventilates our brain.

If it gets too stressful in this position, we can just hold our middle fingers and breathe out.

Current Hands-On Tip of the Week, today: “Safety” Energy Lock #3

Mary said in Self-Help Book 2, page 16: BE the SMILE. DISCHARGE (exhale) all skepticism. RECEIVE (breathe in) your abundance. KNOW MYSELF IT IS.

In these “harsh” times at the moment, it is very important to strengthen and support our immune system.

The antibiotic center of the body in Jin Shin Jyutsu is our “Safety” Energy Lock No. 3, known in Ancient Japan as “Holy / Sanctifying Intelligence”.

It helps with breathing and supports the balance of giving and receiving. Our lymphatic and immune systems are strengthened. It harmonizes all feverish projects.

It is also responsible for all relationship needs. When the #3 is happy, the body does not feel any obstacles in relation to body, soul and spirit. The 3 helps us to be free from tension, viruses, bacteria and fatigue.

Promotes order and understanding in life, also in the context of inter-human relationships. And that is more important than ever in these times.

Likewise, the 3 helps us to rise above the five sensory levels in life.

The message is: if you always breathe well, you won’t get sick.

To harmonize the “Safety” Energy Lock no. 3, we can hold our middle fingers or as follows:

Left hand on right shoulder and right hand on right groin.

Right hand on left shoulder and left hand on left groin.

Have fun doing this hands-on!

Current Hands-On Tip of the Week, today: MUDRA NR. VI (Self-Help Book 3, p 15)

The mudras help us to come to a higher state of consciousness. So they also help us change our thoughts. And as we all know, holding fingers helps harmonizing our attitudes.

In these still challenging times, we definitely need longer breath so that we don’t get out of our rhythm and our center.

This finger position particularly helps us to strengthen our breathing function.

Corona brings up many topics in us and the thumb helps us to differentiate. The thumb also helps us with exhaling, discharging, letting go of everything that we need no longer .

If we put our thumb on the ring fingernail, we will help inhalation, reception, and renewal.

This finger position also helps us with ear projects, when we are out of breath, during long car journeys and for pressure equalization.

Have fun with our current hands-on!
