Current Hands-On Tip of the Week, today: Quickie for all respiratory functions

We have talked a lot about exhalation and breathing functions. Today we would like to take up a shorthand that can help us anywhere and anytime to strengthen and support our exhalation and breathing in general. Very helpful and supportive in these still wild times!

Our right hand rests on the left SEL No. 3 and SEL 11 and the left hand holds the ball of the right thumb. And of course everything is reversed for the other side of the body.

This shorthand also helps with all hormonal projects and all projects related to the lungs. It also helps with over-acidification of the body (the thumb controls the acid). So there is also a good current to purify the body in the springtime.

We wish you a lot of fun practicing.

Hands-On Tip of the Week: Quickie for Strengthening the Immune System

We have already reported about the “safety” energy lock No. 3 as our antibiotic center of the body. Today we would like to introduce a quickie that can help us everywhere and at any time to strengthen and support our immune system which is very helpful and supportive in these times!

Place right hand over left shoulder (SEL #3) and put the left thumb on all fingers of the left hand, one after the other. You can place the thumb berry on the other fingertips or fingernails of the corresponding fingers, depending on where your focus is at the moment. For the other side of the body place everything vice versa.

Hands-on Tip of the Week, today: Releasing Tension and Muscle Tension

(Selfhelp Book 1 by Mary Burmeister, P. 54)

With the first self-help grip, we help to reduce muscle tension throughout the body. Place finger or fingers or thumb on back of LEFT and RIGHT calf simultaneously, just below bend of knee (top of calves). Aids in revitalizing overall muscular tensions.

With the second self-help grip, we reduce tensions that cause headaches, tiredness and general tiredness. Place thumbs or finger or fingers on LEFT and RIGHT base of skull, either sitting down, standing or lying down. Aids in releasing tensions causing head, eye, general fatigue discomforts.

With the third self-help grip, we let the tension in the shoulders melt away. Fold hands (as in prayer) without tensing shoulders, relaxing the complete body. Aids in releasing tensions in shoulders.

We wish you a lot of fun while releasing tension….

Hands-On Tipp of the Week, today: “Safety”-Energy Lock # 15

(Self Help Book 2, p. 40 – 42)

“Safety” energy lock # 15 came into the universe with the meaning “laughter” and “wash our hearts with laughter”. Joy, laughter and happiness, what do we need more in life!

Whenever we lack joy and lightness in our lives, we hold SEL 15.  It helps all physical healing processes and is good for legs and knees.

SES 15 is located in the middle of the right and left groin.

By holding SEL 15, we release tension / stress in the lower abdomen and legs and recharge our “exhausted” energy battery.

As self-help we just hold left and right groin, single or together. Or we simply hold the right little finger with the left hand and the left little finger with the right hand.

Hands-On Tip of the Week, Mudra No. VI

This week we’re showing you a picture of Amanda Gorman, a 22-year-old US writer who read a poem at the inauguration of the new US President Joe Biden. The picture shows her holding Jin Shin Jyutsu Mudra No. VI during her lecture. Isn’t it fantastic to see something like that in public?

We introduced Mudra No. VI to you at the end of August and hope that you have already w0rked with it diligently.

Hold the ring fingernail of the right hand with the inside of the right thumb and the ring fingernail of the left hand with the inside of the left thumb. This mudra strengthens the breathing function and helps all ear projects. It also helps us breathing easier during sporting activities.

if we are only brave enough to be. “

Hands-On Tip of the Week: „Safety”-Energy Lock # 7

(Self-Help Book 2, p. 24/25)

The “safety” energy lock No. 7 came into the universe with the meaning of VICTORY, a perfect life power.

In these times we want to remember that nothing and nobody can knock us over. SEL 7, a very powerful energy lock, helps us here.

SEL  7 is located on the underside of the big toe. For many, holding the right and left 7 is not that easy. Instead, we can hold the left and right groin. Or we hold the right ring finger with the left hand and the left ring finger with the right hand.

By holding SEL 7, we can recharge our depleted energy battery. It relieves tension / stress in the digestive functions as well as in the back, hips and head.

Hands-On Tip of the Week, today: Special Body Function Energy (3)

(Textbook 2 by Mary Burmeister, p. 52)

The  Special Body Function Energy Flows help our modern, worldly lifestyle and quickly in acute situations (just like the fatigue flow, see hands-on tip from August 19).

This flow helps the 3rd depth and is called our “natural Aspirin”.

It harmonizes all causes of fever, pain and inflammation.

Furthermore, it can remove all stiffness from the body and cleans and lubricates all joints.

right flow:

Put your right hand on right “safety” energy lock 5 (right inside of foot between ankle and heel) and your left hand on right “safety” energy lock 16 (right outside of foot between ankle and heel).

left flow:

Put your right hand on left SEL 5 (left inside of foot between ankle and heel) and your left hand on left SEL 16 (left outside of foot between ankle and heel).

Please note: We always put the right hand on SES 5 and do not switch!

Hands-On Tip of the Week, today: # 23, 25 Flow

(Textbook 1 by Mary Burmeister, p. 34)

After all the feasting over the holidays, it is time to do something good for ourselves and to detoxify.

SEL 23 came into the universe with the meaning proper circulation maintenance what means it is important for the harmonious functioning of all circulatory systems (blood, salt, water, lymphatic system, etc.). If these cycles are not in harmony, sooner or later we can get serious projects. It doesn’t have to be, we have Jin Shin Jyutsu!

SEL 23 is also the only 4th depth “safety” energy lock. It supports and renews the functional energy of the kidneys and bladder. We can apply it to all critical labels and it is our main energy reservoir.

Quickie: We place the right hand on the right SEL 21 and the left hand on the left SEL 23 (on the lower edge of the left costal arch). This position can of course also be held in reverse.

New Years Message from David Burmeister

Dear Community of Jin Shin Jyutsu students,

one of the things I recall my mom telling me about Jin Shin Jyutsu is that we are all students of the Art.  Mary would say that the  Art is here to help us on our journey of self-understanding so we can grow in compassion, and in the awareness that we are one.  Mom would reflect that since the passing of Jiro Murai, there are no masters of the Art of Jin Shin Jyutsu, only students who are ready to begin the amazing  journey of self-awareness.  Mary’s gifts as a teacher have radiated around the world, and her message of “Oneness” continues to grow through the Mary Burmeister Jin Shin Jyutsu  faculty, and the multitude of students and practitioners who make Jin Shin Jyutsu a part of their daily lives.  Mary’s wish was for each of us to discover the humble teacher within!

Sending my love and best wishes for a Happy, productive, peaceful, and loving 2021!

With love and gratitude!

David Burmeister
